About
Project Overview
Designed by Studio D’Arkwave, the Shiyefengwu concept store is a retail interior project in China that embodies the brand’s mission of celebrating local produce and the natural environment. “Shiyefengwu” focuses on sourcing unique, high-quality ingredients and artisanal goods from rural areas, highlighting each product’s origin and its connection to nature. The interior design seeks to translate this philosophy into spatial form, immersing visitors in a calm, contemplative setting that encourages them to explore the stories behind every product.
Design Concept
Right from the start, Studio D’Arkwave embraced the brand’s emphasis on terroir and “wild” natural resources by selecting materials and finishes that convey an organic aesthetic. A predominantly neutral color palette allows the textures of stone, wood, and other natural elements to stand out. Subtle lighting accents create a warm atmosphere and guide visitors through curated displays, each emphasizing the distinct characteristics of locally sourced items.
Spatial Arrangement
The open-plan layout invites curiosity, with product stations strategically placed to encourage interaction. Large display counters, shelving units, and tasting areas are thoughtfully arranged so customers can appreciate the sensory qualities of each product while learning about its origins and seasonal attributes. This approach reinforces Shiyefengwu’s core concept of linking food to its natural roots.
Brand Integration
Every design choice—from raw material selection and balanced use of negative space to the integration of educational signage—underlines Shiyefengwu’s vision of reconnecting consumers with nature. By harmonizing the store’s environment with the brand’s philosophy, Studio D’Arkwave has crafted an immersive, story-driven retail experience that spotlights the value of terroir while fostering a deeper appreciation for sustainably produced, locally sourced goods.
